Happy Birthday on FaceBooooooooK !!!
As a kid growing up - BIRTHDAYS were considered as special days, as though this is the only special day in our lives. The sneer sight of the birthday boy getting some kicking from the teacher is considered as a sign of disgrace. Then you know it - the chocolate thing, the cake cutting thing. But one thing that captures my imagination is the exchange of Greeting Cards. I still remember my mothers, sisters sending 3D greeting cards of Jesus or some other scenery - behind each card we find some text or matter "screaming" warm wishes from relatives far off. You know the scene these days I don't even have to write anything about it.
This is the best part - I logged into FB and as I went in - on the right side there was a message with a birthday cake right beside it - telling me today is this persons birthday. I casually seen the name - went down memory lane - cherished the gravity of our relationship back then - depending on the value of that gravity - I decided to go ahead and wish this old friend Happy Birthday - To my horror !!!! the last message I send him was on this very day last year :)
